Botschaft von Branka Jovanović
I’m Branka Jovanović, a visual artist from Carinthia/Koroška, living and working in Austria.
I should have had an exhibition in March 2020 exhibiting my photography on postcards at VADA’s Jugendstiltheater in Klagenfurt/Celovec. However, because of the current worldwide quarantine and social restrictions, we decided to make an interactive project and send you my photo art printed on postcards.
You can keep the cards for yourself, you can give or send them to your friends or – our preferred option – you can write us your stories, jokes, poetry (it really has no boundary) and send it back to us. If you wish, you also have the chance to receive a written postcard from me personally and turn your participation into a real correspondence.
The magical thing about postcards is that while they might seem like a very old school way of communicating, they are also – or at least can be – one of the most anonymous ways of sharing our thoughts and feelings. In fact, now you’ve got the perfect opportunity to write down even your deepest secret, and share it anonymously.
The postcards you send back to us will be published and exhibited, as a collective quarantine art project.
